When you ask Lebanon residents what makes their town so special, the most common answer you'll receive is warmth and camaraderie. The town's slogan and motto "Friendly People, Friendly Place" rings true in every sense here - it comes through in business, in administration, in the day-to-day interaction between neighbors and passerby. It's something visitors pick up on right away, a certain eaase in communication and kindness in demeanor that leaves a lasting impression.

"Lebanon is definitely a great place to live, work, raise a family or just come for a visit," says Debbie Wikowsky, Executive Director of the Lebanon Area Chamber of Commerce. "We're in the heart of the Ozarks and we have a lot to offer: Bennett Spring State Park for outdoor recreation, unique shopping and tourist destinations, superior school districts, excellent quality of life and numerous job opportunities." And it seems that people are catching on. Lebanon has indeed experienced a great deal of growth in recent years. Lebanon residents say they can't imagine choosing anywhere else to call home.
